Today I’ve got another one of those huge art installation pieces to share with all of you. I saw this over on I love nice people who make new things. It’s a world map made from recycled computer parts. All I can find out about it is that it was made by Susan Stockwell , an artist from the UK for the University of Bedfordshire. It’s a really cool piece of art! Check it out.
I love when artists make beautiful art out of junk. This is in the same vane of the tire sculptures I previously posted. When artists take products that are filling up our landfills and turn them in to something awesome to look at, blows me away. I love that Susan even went so far as to use different colors of circuit boards (or whatever) where there are deserts. You can even pick out mountain ranges! What a talented artist. I know I’ve mentioned it before, but when artists can see the finished product and can see art out of things I view as trash, it amazes me. What will these creative artists come up with next?!
wow that looks so cool!
That is really cool! I posted today about another artist who makes beautiful art from junk — Daniel Wurtzel. http://zorgor.wordpress.com/2011/12/16/artist-daniel-wurtzel/ Take a look! 🙂 And I didn’t steal this from you did I? I can’t remember how I discovered this…
