Instead of using his pencil to actually draw the portraits, he uses his pencil shavings to create the portraits. Can you imagine the patience it must take to meticulously arrange pencil shavings to create the outline of a face and to delineate the features of the face? Check this out!
I wish I had more examples of this to share with all of you. How does he keep the shavings from moving around? In my experience, pencil shavings fly all over the place. Do you think he glues each individual one down? What if he wants to move them later? How does he accomplish this? Crazy.
